If Weapons of Mass Destruction are not found, how can the war that was fought be justified?

Because Saddam was a bad man?
That's not enough of a reason.

Since all politicians follow a creedo that ensures they stay in power for as long as possible, it follows to say that Saddam would have lost power over time if he had been more compassionate.

Whether it was Saddam in power, or someone else, they all would have behaved the same because to behave any less iron-fisted probably means eventual assassination, and probably sooner rather than later.

So Saddam is a product of his region, which means we would have ousted anyone who was in power, it would have been inevitable.

The Weapons of Mass Destruction is the key component to justifying the war. Without that issue, Bush walks a walk that doesn't carry a big stick.
